About Us

The Hope for Howey foundation was created in honor of Ryan Michael Howey who passed away from Glioblastoma Brain cancer. Ryan was diagnosed May 4, 2018 after experiencing vision issues and suffering from severe headaches. At the time Ryan was only 17 years old and a junior at Liberty High School in Eldersburg Maryland. Ryan fought hard but lost his battle at age 18 on January 1, 2019.

Ryan was a compassionate selfless person who always went out of his way to help people. Most of the time he did so secretly and privately because I didn't anyone making a big deal about it and he didn't want someone to feel like they owned him. We knew about some of his good deeds before he passed but we received several message after his passing from people he helped.
